Introducing Precision Tool's
New "RDX" Shot Sleeve
Precision Tool is pleased to announce the introduction of "A new Shot Sleeve to solve an old problem". The "RDX" has quickly proven itself in field tests to be superior to standard, nitrided H-13 sleeves and should establish itself as the new standard to which other manufacturers will have to compete against.
Field tests have proven that the "RDX" will provide Extended Service life over the standard nitrided H-13 sleeve. One "RDX" sleeve has provided 4 times the life of an H-13 sleeve and is still running. It has a 4.5" ID running a 25# shot.
There is no need to change anything in your process! No water lines or special tip lube. Just install the "RDX" and run normally.
Your Standard sleeve drawings are sufficient. No need to redraw anything.
The replaceable "RDX" steel liner has a 1/4" wall thickness. The added 1/2"ID allows for many Reworks before the shot sleeve liner needs to be replaced.
No gas nitriding will be needed. This translates to big savings on re-works.
Reworking of sleeves will be inexpensive and should never exceed $200 unless a new liner is required. Most sleeves will not require boring and ID grinding as we do on all re-works now.
Your Turnaround time on re-works will be only 3-5 days.
We are obviously excited about this new design and welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how the "RDX" can reduce your overall shot sleeve costs.
